Screen printing – let’s take this outside
We don’t mean that screen printing is so controversial it can come to blows (although printers are very passionate about their craft!). We mean – literally – that when it comes to self-adhesive products, screen printing is far and away the best option for any label or sticker that is going to be outside.
The nature of screen printing means that it is highly durable. Colours will last and not fade – no matter how much exposure they get to wind, sunlight, pollution and rain.
So screen printing is your number one choice for:
- Bumper stickers
- Sold & Serviced By labels
- Product branding labels
Cost effective for long print runs
Screen printing is particularly cost effective when it comes to longer print runs of one label design or sticker. The set up for screen printing is the most time and labour intensive aspect. Each screen printing job requires specific plates to be made. Once the plate is made, screen printing provides excellent quality over large print runs. So the more items you need, the more economical the print job becomes.
Screen printing runs tend to be for print runs of 2,000 and higher – in order to keep it as cost effective as possible.
However, if you have a sticker or label you would like screen printed, or would simply like to know more about the benefits of screen printing as compared to digital printing – please contact us.

Our job is to provide you with the best, most accurate and expert advice for your printing requirements. We never recommend something until we know what your project is, including scope, product, environment and budget. Then we work together to ensure you choose the best option for your needs.
Some further reasons that you’d use screen over other mediums are:
- Large ink deposit – durable scratch resistant
- Opaque rather than wishy washy
- Vibrant colour due to depth
